What is happening in the closed doors of NK prisons

The story about a boy, a Shin, who was born in a North Korean prison and escaped at the age of 23, is being made into a movie based on the book “Escape from Camp 14:One Man’s Remarkable Odyssey from North Korea to Freedom in the West.”

Howard Brownstein, producer of Brownstein Films, said there is probably no one on Earth that endured the kind of cruelty that he experienced. “It is a human victory.”

Another film relating to Shin’s experiences was made under the title of “Camp 14-Total Control Zone” and presented at last year’s Toronto Film Festival. <The Korea Times>
