Tug Boat-Ferry Collision In Hong Kong Leaves Eight Dead

Rescuers get close to a partially-submerged vessel after a collision in Hong Kong, south China, Oct. 2, 2012.  At least eight people were killed after two vessels collided on Monday evening off the Lamma Island to the southwest of the Hong Kong Island, local media reported. The vessel collision occurred at the seafront of the Lamma Island at 8:23 p.m. local time. The accident involved a tug boat and a ferry, which 124 people were aboard, the city government said in a statement.   (Xinhua/Lui Siu Wai)
