Egyptian Prime Minister Kamal el- Ganzouri said Wednesday that the ruling military authorities will stay in power until June 30, despite the recent calls for an immediate power transfer.

Ganzouri said that the new constitution and presidential elections will be completed before the date. He asked those who demand the military council cede power to remember what happened in Iraq, official MENA news agency reported.

Meanwhile, the prime minister defended the move of Egyptian authorities to investigate the illegal activities of some non- governmental organizations(NGO). He said Egypt will abide by the laws regarding the issue of foreign funds directed for NGOs.

Egypt referred 43 Egyptians and foreigners to court on Feb. 5 over charges of opening branches in Egypt without license and used the money for political objectives.
