Why people go to college?
The number of students entering college has surged over the past few years and this has become a trend among teenagers and young adults.
College is supposedly a choice available to all, so that people can learn and study to pursue their dreams and preferred occupations. Some people become successful without even attending college but the chances of this happening are extremely rare and limited, forcing people to enter college.
Despite high tuition costs, people believe it is worth spending money to pursue further studies in a specific field of education in order to succeed.
Therefore, I believe that attending college has become a tradition for basically everyone worldwide mainly because people long for a variety of new experiences, career preparation and also desire to expand their knowledge.
One factor that can change someone’s viewpoint on a specific subject is experience. Colleges are filled with a variety of experiences that match people’s expectations in various ways.
One such example is being involved in a vast social network. Colleges gather people from all around the world and provide opportunities for students to interact with different types of people and experience new cultures.
My cousin, who is currently a freshman in college, didn’t realize how important it was to maintain and form serious relationships with friends and colleagues until he entered college.
He was able to join various social groups and learn many new aspects about different people from different regions across the globe, and he concluded that college was a perfect stage in his life to succeed in business.
Although he experienced distractions from others in his studies, he still enjoys his life spending time with people with distinctive personalities as well as finding others who appeared to share parallel lives with himself.
Not only can students be involved in social networks, they can also enjoy new experiences through various programs provided in college. Most colleges around the world provide a broad variety of opportunities for students to try and experience new courses, clubs and activities.
Programs open to students extend from literature and the arts to science and mathematics, so there will be almost no doubt that colleges lack sources of opportunities given to students. Thus, people should attend college for the purpose of gaining new experiences and making bigger steps toward their futures.
Also, people consider colleges to be a place where they can sufficiently prepare for their future careers. According to people’s actions in today’s world, colleges are considered to be a compulsory stage on the road to success.
Many students stress that while they strive to enter the best colleges around the world, some of them don’t realize that they are wasting their time trying hard.
Despite this drawback that colleges spread in the minds of new teenagers, colleges prove that people can succeed much more efficiently than people who don’t tend to attend college.
In contrast, colleges make it beneficial for students to become well-prepared and confident in their field of study because they allow many opportunities for open courses to students.
Graduation from prestigious colleges allows people to enter top-notch companies worldwide and obtain fairly high salaries in order to make huge profits throughout their lives. Some people go to college just for the sake of satisfying a desire for deeper knowledge. With all of the opportunities given to the students, people can benefit from these chances and thus make use of college as an efficient tool for success.
Obviously, I believe that students go to college all around the world in today’s world for the purpose of gaining new experiences and also to learn from further studies, causing people to benefit from career preparation as well as increased knowledge.
The decision of whether attending college or not is considered to be crucial nowadays and is due to the range of occupations in which people can follow their dreams and find work that they can enjoy throughout their lives.
