26 killed as passenger bus crashes into mountain in Pakistan

Islamabad: At least 26 people, including over a dozen soldiers of Pakistan army, were killed when a passenger bus rammed into a mountain in Babusar Pass in Gilgit-Baltistan area on Sunday morning.
According to the police, the passenger bus was travelling from Skardu to Rawalpindi when it crashed into a mountain while making a turn, killing over two dozen and injuring several passengers on board.
Police said at least 26 people, including women and children, were killed in the accident and at least 15 injured. The deceased and injured have been shifted to a hospital where an emergency has been declared.
Gilgit-Baltistan Spokesperson Faizullah Faraq told the media confirmed 26 people had been killed in the accident while 12 of the 15 passengers were in critical condition.
