Ashraf Aboul-Yazid (Ashraf Dali) wins the Arab Journalism Award in Culture.
Since its inception in 1999 on the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, UAE Vice President·Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai tens of Arab media personalities from all media specialties and from across the Arab countries, have won this coveted industry recognition. The Arab Journalism Awards rewards talented, inspires excellence, and motivates creativity.
This year, 39 nominees were selected, 3 in each of of the 12 categories, out of 5008 participants from all Arab media published during the year 2014. Ashraf Aboul-Yazid (Ashraf Dali), winner of Manhae Grand Prize in Literature 2014, has been announced the Arab Journalism Award winner in culture field (Specialized Journalism).
His photo-research article, published in Al-Arabi magazine, September 2014, on ‘The Art of Monuments in Literature, History and Legends’, was appreciated by the judging committee, announced on Wednesday May 13, 2015, in Dubai, UAE.
The all categories winners were selected from 5008 participants (a record).
Awards: Investigative Reporting, Young Talent Journalism, Photo Journalism, Economic Journalism, Outstanding Cartoon Works, Specialized Journalism, Best Press Interviews Journalism, Best Columnist Award, and Media Personality of the Year.
For the previous years, more than 500 senior journalists, writers, academics and specialists have also participated as judging committee members, and more than 35 eminent media persons from different intellectual backgrounds and professional experience have served on the board of directors for the awards.
