No. 63 – 10 April 2013

Dear friend,

The Korean peninsula has recently been at the center of the world’s attention. This is because North Korea’s ongoing “bellicose rhetoric” and “provocative actions.” Even the Kaesong industrial complex, the one window for communication with the South, has been closed. The crisis on the Korean peninsula is not only made up of North and South, but of the interests of the U.S., China, and Japan.

I have a mixed feeling of hope and worry on how the young North Korean leader, who has been in office for slightly over a year, and the newly inaugurated South Korean president will face and work this critical situation.

What would you do if you were in their shoes? How about reading The AsiaN’s articles and columns and helping us to find solutions? If we use our common sense and raise our standards, I believe the solution to all problems is not far away.

See you next Wednesday.

April 10, 2013

Sincerely,
Lee Sang-ki, CEO & Publisher of the AsiaN
