Uzbekistan Airways reduces passenger transportation

Trend News Agency reports that Uzbekistan National Airways (Ozbekiston Havo Yollari) carried 1.177 million passengers in January-June 2016.

Uzbekistan Airways transported 1.235 passengers during the same period of 2015. Thus, the company reduced passenger traffic by 4.7 percent in January-June 2016 compared to the same period of 2015.

In 1H2016, Uzbekistan Airways implemented 10,671 flights against 11,575 flights in the same period of 2015 (decrease by 7.8 percent). The volume of freight traffic amounted to 19,700 tons in 1H2016 (increase by 7.5 percent).

Uzbekistan Airways is the monopoly carrier in Uzbekistan and is wholly owned by the state.
