Cash collectors bring $212,000 fake money to Russian bank

China Hot Money untitledA bank in Tatarstan’s capital Kazan has reported to police the swapping of banknotes worth 14 million rubles (over $212,000) for counterfeit money, a spokesperson for the Russian Interior Ministry said on June 16, TASS reports.

“According to preliminary reports, some banknotes brought to the bank by cash collectors were replaced with bills of the so-called Prank Bank,” Irina Volk said.

A criminal probe into major theft has been launched, she added.
