India considers accession to Eurasian Economic Union, Kazakh ambassador says

“We hope that the Business Council will help increase mutual trade and investments. I expect that in two-three years we will be able to increase bilateral trade to at least $5 billion,” Shaikenov said at the meeting of the council on May 19.

Bulat Sarsenbayev, Kazakh Ambassador to India mentioned the current dynamic relations of two countries, “The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and India rather high, more than one billion dollars, but it is more than all Central Asian republics several times combined. “India is seriously considering accession to the Eurasian Economic Union, the signing of the agreement on free trade zone with the EAEU,” he said.
