Iran tenders for oil, gas exploration in Uzbekistan
Iran announced the submission a tender for oil and gas exploration projects in Uzbekistan.
Mehr News reported that the director of special projects of the National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) Hamid Bord shared Iran’s reply to Uzbekistan’s tender offer for oil and gas explorations saying “recently, we put in a tender for similar projects in India though it was on accepted on grounds of high price offer.”
Bord underlined “in the current situation, given the falling oil prices, many oil and gas exploration projects in different countries especially the Middle East have been shut down or their implementation has been postponed; meanwhile, we seek to make tenders at an international level in various countries particularly in countries of Central Asia and certain Persian Gulf states.
He gave details about the available situation, “Currently, Iran is capable of offering 10 oil and gas exploration services including two-dimensional and three-dimensional seismic projects, exploratory data processing and provision of a variety of technical and engineering services. We are after equipping our logistic fleet on land and sea in order to have broader participation in international tender offers.”
