Armenia Receives the Weapons from Russia
The process of the weapons supply to Armenia from Russia on a credit agreement has started.
The spokesperson of the Defense Ministry of Armenia, Artsrun Hovhannisyan told “The process of the supply of arms to Armenia under the loan agreement in the amount of $200 million is under way for a long time, but I cannot name what is supplied,” Vestnik Kavkaza reports.
He said that the Armenian army is equipped with all the necessary arms and the supply of weapons and military hardware has not stopped.
He told that the weapons of the 1980s are the most efficient ones all around the world and the Armenian army is totally equipped with Russian-style weapons. But he refused the total dependency on Russia, “The replenishment of the Armenian arsenal does not only depend on the Russian loan; it didn’t start with the loan and does not end with the loan.”
“Our arsenal includes weapons many countries can only dream of, however, along with them we also use the arms made in the 1980s and even 1950-60s because these are efficient arms,” he added.
He pointed out that the peace needs weapons, “No matter how strong the Armenian soldiers are, there can be no victory without weapons.”
