Russian Navy Launches Exercises in the Caspian Sea
Warships of the Russian Navy launch military exercises in the Caspian Sea.
20 ships, vessels, and boats participated in exercises as addition to Dagestan missile ship, Grad Sviyazhsk, Uglich, Velikiy Ustyug, and small artillery ships Volgodonsk-Makhachkala.
According to the report of the press service of the Southern Military District of Russia, during the exercises, a shooting of missile complex Caliber-NK and artillery units A-190 and Duet will also be held, Report.az cited.
Ria Dagestan reported that landing boats of ‘Serna’ of the Caspian flotilla started military exercises in Dagestan: “During the four-day exercises the crews of boats tried out various elements of sea maneuvers as singles and as part of the landing detachment under the gun fire of the conditional enemy. To complicate the task the landing was executed at extremely high speeds. At the speed of more than 30 knots (about 60 km per hour) different variants of landing were worked out.”
