‘Hallyu’ content website opens in Chinese
A website providing cultural contents on Korea from shopping to travel and leisure opened in Chinese, Tuesday.
Korea DMC (short for Destination Management Company), a service company providing in-bound travel-related contents for tourists, launched an online service called “Korea Top 10” (www.koreatop10.com).
The website provides information on Korean celebrities, news about Korean companies, exhibitions, performances and cultural activities and travel information for FIT (frequently independent traveler) customers.
The online service includes reservation service for performances and online to offline services including coupon downloads.
The shopping section provides products related to Korean celebrities at the “Star Mall.”
Lifestyle contents ranging from makeup, health, fashion, games and sports are offered in collaboration with bloggers who are experts in the field.
“We plan to provide information that Chinese are interested in. If they request certain information, we will collect them and create customized content for the consumers,” said Sim Song-hak, CEO of Korea DMC, during a press event Tuesday.
“For instance, Chinese mothers are extremely interested in what kind of baby products such as powdered milk or milk bottles Korean mothers use. We plan to provide information such as this based on their interest.”
Korea DMC plans to attract 500,000 visitors per day at the website.
