Thai mom gets 41-year jail term for prostituting underage daughter

A criminal court sentenced a woman to 41 years in jail for prostituting three girls including her own daughter to an English expat man on several occasions between 2008 to August 2010, local media reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, Tim Wongsiri, 50, forced two girls, who were under 15, and her own daughter who was under 13, to have sex with 45-year-old Briton, Stuart Hargreaves Lloyd.
Both defendants have denied the charges, though Tim’s daughter and the other girls have provided verifiable details of the venues, times and payments.
Tim’s daughter told psychologists that her mother, who was previously a prostitute, had threatened to stop sending her to school if she and the other two girls refused to have sex with customers.
The court sentenced Tim to 41 years in jail and gave Lloyd a 21- year jail term for raping minors. <Xinhua>
