‘Al Hilal’ Magazine and ‘The AsiaN’ sign a cultural partnership agreement
The Korean future news network ‘The AsiaN’ and the Egyptian magazine ‘Al Hilal’ signed a cultural partnership agreement to support the cooperation between the two institutions in the fields of culture and media.
On the Korean side, Mr Lee Sang Ki, the founding president of the Asia Journalist Association (AJA) and CEO of AJA Media and culture (AJAMNC) signed the agreement, while on the Egyptian side, the writer Mohamed Al Shafei’, the Editor-in-Chief for ‘Al Hilal’ magazine signed, also witnessed the signing of the agreement, Ashraf Aboul-Yazid, Editor-in-Chief for the Arabic version of The AsiaN and head of the Middle East chapter for the Asia Journalist Association, Mr. Ryong Oh, Managing Editor for The AsiaN, Park So Hye, Editor-in-Chief for The AsiaN, Abderrahim Allam, President of the Union of Moroccan Writers, which is one of the cultural institutes that The AsiaN signed the same agreement with last November, in the Korean capital, Seoul.
‘Al Hilal’ magazine is now part of the prestigious group of institutions that ‘The AsiaN’ signed agreements with which are, Kuwaiti ‘Al Arabi’ magazine, the Union of Moroccan Writers, Turkish national news network Cihan News Agency, Chinese state-run Xinhua News Agency, Korean Yonhap News Agency, Newsis, the cultural periodical Global Asia, Daily Korea Times, and many other specialized media.
AJA and AJAMNC which are broadcasted online through news network in Arabic, English, Chinese, and Korean languages, agreed with ‘Al Hilal’ magazine to work together to support culture and media in Asia and Arab countries, and to become the bridge between the Asian and Arabic cultures.
“Al Hilal” magazine is issued by Al Hilal publishers and its founder George Zidan in 1 September 1892; it’s the first Arabic monthly magazine, which is still published till today, managed by Mohamed Al Shafei’, The editor in chief, and Ahmed Bakry, the managing editor.
