Ms. or Madam?
How do you address President-elect Park Geun-hye, if you are foreigners or the foreign press invited to meet her?
Her aides say that Park doesn’t have a preference _ honorific madam or Ms. can be used.
Obviously, Miss or Mrs. may not sound appropriate, as she is not married and she is to be head of state at the current age of 60.
It is not clear how U.S. Ambassador Sung Kim addressed her during his visit to the President-elect Thursday or too the envoys of China, Japan and Russia, who also met her.
The media used both Ms. and Madam as an honorific. <The Korea Times>
