Well-Preserved Old Chinese Village Attracts Tourists

Yangxi is a small village, 2.5 kilometers north of the town hall of Xiling, featuring nearly 30 architectures of ancient styles. There are some 900 villagers living in Yangxi, whose ancestors at first removed from Guangxi’s neighboring Guangdong Province to the place half a kilometer away from Yangxi some 600 years ago. After 300 years’ development, people in the settlement scraped up funds, bought lands nearby, built up houses and finally formed the village of Yangxi. Most of those houses are preserved and function well.
