The U.S. welcomed on Wednesday the President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi’s decisions on the armed forces reconstruction.
The statement made by John Brennan, the Assistant to the U.S. President Barack Obama for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism during his meeting with charge d’affairs of the Yemeni embassy in Washington Adel al-Senini.
Brennan renewed the U.S. commitment to continue its strong partnership with Yemen during the transitional stage.
The Yemeni diplomat talked about the improvements in Yemen and the changes in the civil and military sectors.
He welcomed the U.S. decision to raise its development and economic aid to Yemen, praising the U.S. administration’s support to Yemen in various areas to make the transitional stage succeed.
On the other hand, al-Senini held talks with U.S. assistant secretary of the treasury for international affairs on the mutual cooperation relations in financial, economic and development areas.
The Yemeni diplomat reviewed the financial challenges Yemen is experiencing and the government’s priority to overcome the economic crisis.
The U.S. official reiterated the American government’s commitment to provide the required aid for the development in Yemen and the donors’ support for the Yemeni government to achieve the economic and security stability.
