Major news in <Saudi Gazette>: I’m not leaving KSA, says Mursi’s son
The son of Mohamed Mursi, the president-elect of Egypt, has been working as a doctor in Al-Ahsa for the past two years.
He recently spoke to an Arabic daily and said he was not in a hurry to leave Al-Ahsa and told reporters that he would continue practicing his profession and described his father’s victory as “God’s blessings”.
He also attributed the victory to the people’s love and respect for his father.
Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Mursi who is newly-married and works in the urology and general surgery department at Al-Manae private hospital in Al-Ahsa said, “My life is essentially normal both professionally and socially. I’ve no plans to give up my job.”
He said he had called his father as soon as he won the runoff presidential election and congratulated him.
Mursi said he prayed to Allah to help his father to do everything in the interest of the Egyptian people and his beloved country, adding that he went through disruptive times during the presidential rally because of continuous phone calls.
His colleagues in the hospital commended him for his dedication and gentle manner. He turned down a request to be photographed for personal reasons. “I have peace of mind since I’ve settled down in Al-Ahsa because the Hasawi people are sociable and gentle. I love them all.”
The new president-elect and his wife Najla have five children; the eldest being Ahmad, in addition to Shima, Osama, Omar and Abdullah. The couple has three grandchildren.
