Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak became unconscious Tuesday and is on a respirator, Reuters said.
The country’s Middle East News Agency said earlier in the day that Mubarak, 84, was pronounced clinically dead by his doctors but security sources denied the report.
Mubarak, 84, was sentenced to life in prison June 2 for his role in the killing of protesters during the popular uprising last year that ended his 30-year rule.
