Turkey celebrates anniversary of “Conquest of Istanbul”

559th anniversary of the “Conquest of Istanbul” was celebrated across Turkish biggest city of Istanbul with colorful organizations (May 30).
Celebrations main address was Halic (“Golden Horn”) this year. Peoples who joined the celebrations lived magnificent in the evening hours of the Tuesday. Light, water, sound, laser and fireworks show was organized within the context of celebrations.
Istanbul Great Municipality Mayor Kadir Topbas, inviters and thousands of Istanbulities celebrated the conquest by carrying Turkish flags their flags on their hand. There were also set a big platform on at the coast of Golden Horn.
Heavy rains did not prevent people from joining conquest celebrations. Turkish people who attend the colorful night said that they had very big proud and watched the organization with a big proud. <Cihan>
