Central Asian leaders to meet in Tashkent
Tashkent: The expansion of regional cooperation between the Central Asian states across several sectors will be high on the agenda of the second consultative meeting of heads of Central Asian states when they meet in Tashkent on on November 29, Uzbek state news agency UzA has reported.
The summit agenda of the leaders of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan. includes widening regional cooperation in political, trade and economic, investment, transport and communication, cultural and humanitarian and other areas.
The leaders will also exchange views on topical issues of international policy and regional security, the agency added.
The initiative to hold regular consultative meetings of heads of state of Central Asian states was put forward by the President of Uzbekistan during the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly in September 2017.
The first summit was held in March last year in Nur-Sultan.
