Uzbekistan to host Raks Sehri Annual International Festival
Tashkent: Uzbekistan. In a country that its people see as a place where different nationalities, traditions and culture co-exist peaceful and live harmoniously, where its rich historical and architectural heritage gets along fine with modern buildings and high technology, the Raks Sehri (Magic of Dance) Annual International Festival stands as a clear testimony to their arguments.
The festival, scheduled for September 14-16 in ancient Khiva, will be attended by professionals and artists in the field of dance and music, music, theater and dance groups from foreign countries and Uzbekistan, KABAR news agency reported.
Representatives of ministries and departments of the country, the media, guests and residents will also be there to enjoy the special displays.
According to the press service of Uzbekistan’s State Committee for Tourism Development, concerts and theatrical performances, fairs of folk arts and crafts, scientific and practical conference, master classes and many other events will be held as part of the festival program.
The Festival is organized by the State Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan, Khorezm Region state administration and the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan.
