Abu Dhabi exhibition to bring international hunting, equestrian communities together
Abu Dhabi: The largest and most significant event in the world of hunting, equestrian and preservation of culture and heritage will be launched in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday.
The 17th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX 2019) will be held on August 27-31 under the theme of “Together to Consolidate Sustainable Hunting Initiatives” and will feature cultural activities and events to enlighten and entertain families as well as prizes worth more than one million dirhams ($273,000).
The Higher Organizing Committee of the exhibition said that more than 650 local and international companies and brands would participate in the event to be held over an area of 45,000 square meters.
The 11 sectors at the exhibition will be Arts and Crafts, Equestrian, Falconry, Hunting and Camping Equipment, Hunting Guns, Hunting Tourism and Safari, Outdoor Leisure Vehicles and Equipment, Promotion and Preservation of Cultural Heritage, Veterinary Products and Services, Fishing and Marine Sports and Media. One area will be dedicated to dog, horses and camels shows.
For the first time in the exhibition, Emirates Falconers’ Club, the organizers of the event, will launch a falcon auction that will be held daily.
Another first for the UAE is the International Dog Show that will give visitors an opportunity to watch in action more than 200 well trained dog competitors from more than 15 countries.
Workshops and seminars will also provide a great learning experience from global experts at the event through the workshop on “The Illegal Trafficking of Birds of Prey,” the organizers said.
