Introducing Lisa Witter
Former Magazine N editor and communications manager of the Asia Journalist Association, Lisa Witter, began working at the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games last July as a project director of the NOC/NPC Services communications team. Before receiving an offer from the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee, Ms. Witter worked for about 3 years as a manager in the NOC/NPC Services Department of the PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. She will spend the next 2 years working for Tokyo 2020. Ms. Witter joined the Asia Journalist Association as a communications manager in January 2013 and then took part in the launching of Magazine N in May later that year. She was the English editor of Magazine N for its first 2 years. While Ms. Witter was pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Asian history at Seoul National University, she co-created and headed the Korea International Students Association (KISA). Later, she completed a master’s degree in global sports management at Seoul National University. “Since university, I have always been greatly interested in the role of sports in international and cultural exchange. I hope to contribute to the success of the Tokyo 2020 Games, a festival that will bring the world together using the power of sports,” said Ms. Witter.
