Climbing Baekdu Mountain

In 2018, because of the Inter-Korean Summit, the North American summit, and three rounds of North Korea-China summits, Northeast Asia is going through changes. Everything started under the North Korea’s Nuclear weapon’s issue. Many people ask themselves if everything is really happening.

Since the beginning of the summer during the Moosool year, with no anxiety or fear, but excitement and expectation, the nation’s holy mountatin, Baekdu Mountain, has been climbed by many tourists.

In early June,2018, Ms. Lee Jeong Oak sent us precious pictures after visiting that mountain.

: Ms. Lee-JeongOak is making V-sign in front of the Mt.Baekdu’s Heaven Lake. Even if it is a bit cloudy, we can see the Heaven Lake.

: The stairs connect the parking lot to Heaven Lake. People can see the Heaven Lake after hiking all the stairs.

: Mt. Baekdu headstone was made by the Chinese government in 2009.

: Visitors can see North Korea through Yalu river. The sign says ‘Byeon-gang (riverside) Hotel’
