No. 53 – 30 January 2013
Dear friend
With one day left of January 2013, we start to head toward spring. We cannot defy the way of nature. It has been one year since we first started to send out our weekly Wednesday newsletters. I thank all of you for reading and loving our newsletter, which many of you have received for 52 weeks through rain, snow and storm. Do you still remember our ten seconds of silence policy? It is the ten seconds we take to stop and pray for our readers and the people in our articles before we send the newsletter each week. We will not forget our ten-second prayers. Yesterday, on January 29th, the Asia Journalist Association and KTV (Korea Policy Broadcasting) held a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony. The two organizations plan to create the program, “Global Report,” where international students and graduates living in Korea will cover various events, exhibitions and issues in Korean, which will then be broadcasted as a part of KTV news. The global reporters consist of international students and graduates from 18 different countries including China, Japan, the United States, Vietnam, Paraguay, India, Nepal, Indonesia, Turkey, Cambodia, Cameroon, Iran, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Laos, Uzbekistan, Syria, and Russia. They will also act as members of AJA Junior. Please cheer them on. Once again, I would like send my deepest gratitude to all of you for your support during the last year. January 30, 2013 Sincerely |
