Miss Universe 2015 is a huge Super Junior fan

German-Filipino actress and model Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, who was crowned as Miss Universe 2015, was apparently a huge fan of Kpop band Super Junior and especially Siwon. After naming her Miss Universe, somebody has dug up Wurtzbach’s tweets from 2009, where she jokingly calls herself Mrs. Choi Siwon, and talks lovingly of other Super Junior members.

After the famous mix-up of announcing the winner of Miss Universe 2015, Pia gained a lot of fame and thus these older tweets surfaced. Many fans of Super Junior pointed that she must still be a Super Junior fan, even pointing to the fact that she wore a sapphire blue dress in the last round of the contest, which is the official color of Super Junior’s  fanclub, which could be merely a coincidence.

Unfortunately, Siwon is currently serving in the military and has not been able to respond. However, fellow Super Junior member Leeteuk wrote the following post directed at the new Miss Universe: “Congratulations^^ #miss #universe I heard from the news that there was even the “happening” of announcing the wrong winner. But congratulations to you, an ELF who loves Super Junior, and especially loves Siwon. I also heard that your dress matches our color. (Blue) I want to say congrats one more time!^^”
