KNHP-SNU’s welfare efforts in Vietnam
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co. (KHNP) and Global Voluntary Team from Seoul National University (SNU) visited Phuoc An, Binh Dinh province, Vietnam from 3rd-13th August, in order to help people who desperately need clean water.
KHNP-SNU Global voluntary Team of 52, including 12 from KHNP, performed voluntary service in Phuoc An, Vietnam.
For people in Phuoc An who don’t have access to clean water, sinks and water purifiers, rainwater tank facility was installed, along with educational and cultural service for children.
Rho Jeong-hyon, who participated in the voluntary team from KHNP, said, “I want to give a gift to residents who lack access to clean water.
KHNP and the Global Volunteer Team from SNU signed MOU in January 2014, and agreed to dispatch Global Volunteer Team, collaborating with KHNP and SNU, twice a year until 2016 in order to help people in severe need.
KHNP-SNU Global Volunteer Team has volunteered in remote villages of Vietnam, offering medical services and rebuilding schools and health centers, three times since 2014.
