Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co. won new contract from Singapore firm
Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co. in 22th revealed that the company formed a consortium with other companies such as Samsung C&T and Japan’s Penta-Ocean Construction and won $775 million worth contract in Singapore.
JTC Corporation, a Singapore’s public company, ordered this contract. This contract is a project about constructing a reclaimed land in Tuas located in the western part of Singapore. It’s said that the area is two thirds of ‘Yeouido’ in Korea.
Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co., the leader, is responsible for 29% of this project which is $225 million.
The project will be finished after 53 months of construction.
An official from Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co. said “Up to now, the company is doing well constructing a reclaimed land, 6% of total Singapore territory.” and added that “winning this project will put the company in the advantageous position in winning a new bid for site building work.”
