[Indonesia Report] Wakatobi attracts tourisits from across the world due to its underwater beauty

Indonesia’s underwater beauty is famous in the world. One of the most well-known sea paradises in Indonesia is the Wakatobi National Park in Southeast Sulawesi Province.
Wakatobi National Park was established in 1996, in the area covering some 1.39 million hectare of variety of marine diversity and coral.
According to Kompas.com, Wakatobi National Park has 750 different kinds of corals out of the 850 total species in the world.
The configuration of the depth is vary from flat to sloping to the sea and in some waters, There are insistent steep and the deepest waters reach to 1044 meters, according to Kompas.com’s report,
Marine tourism is the main tourist destination in Wakatobi. It is famous for its marine life coral reefs along the vast waters of the underwater colorful topography as slop shape, flat, drop-off, atoll and underwater cave.
More than 112 kind of corals from 13 families, such as Acropora formosa, A. Hyacinthus, Psammocora profundasafla, Pavona cactus, Leptoseris yabei, Fungia molucensis, Lobophyllia robusta, Merulina ampliata, Platygyra versifora, Euphyllia glabrescens, Tubastraea frondes, Stylophora pistillata, Sarcophyton throchelliophorum, are living in harmony with other underwater inhabitants.
Wakatobi also has 93 species of fish, as Cephalopholus argus, Naso unicornis, Balistoides viridescens, napoleon (Cheilinus undulates), Red fish (Lutjanus biguttatus), Rabbitfish (Siganus guttatus), Amphiprion melanopus, Chaetodon specullum, Chelmon rostratus, Heniochus acuminatus, Lutjanus monostigma, Caesio caerularea, etc.
Wakatobi National Park is a nest for some of sea birds species such as goose-brown stone (Sula leucogaster plotus), Malay plover (Charadrius peronii) and King Prawn Eurasia (Alcedo atthis).
It is also home for some species of turtle and sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus).
Specifically Park Authority surrounded 600 miles long of coral islands’ coast. So the beach area in Wakatobi is perfect for tourist destination for diving, snorkeling, swimming and fishing.
