Medvedev proposes cabinet lineup

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Tuesday submit proposals on the structure and composition of a new government to President Vladimir Putin.

Putin was sworn in as president for a third nonconsecutive term on May 7. His previous two terms had been in 2000-2008. Medvedev, who was Russia’s president in 2008-2012 when Putin was the country’s premier, was appointed prime minister following Putin’s inauguration as president last week.

In line with the Constitution, Medvedev has until May 15 to submit his proposals on the new cabinet’s structure, ministers and deputy premiers to the president. Until the new government is formed, all members of the previous cabinet keep working as acting officials.

According the proposal new cabinet as follows

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Deputy Prime Ministerı Dmitri Rogozin,

Deputy Minister Vladislav Surkov, Deputy Minister Dmitri Kozak görevlerine devam edecek. <Cihan>
