Tashkent: Uzbekistan has become the best destination in the nomination “Regions and value for money” along with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, the German edition of Bild reported.

According to the article “Best Destinations for Traveling Next Year”, the Best in Travel ranking, developed by the leader of Lonely Planet guidebooks, took into account a number of factors, in particular, the relevance of the place, the uniqueness of impressions and the wow factor (the ability to instantly cause surprise and interest).

“This region, once enriched by world trade and travelers, was again in the center of world attention. It has become much more affordable: this also applies to visa regimes, flights, and infrastructure,” the publication notes, Kabar news agency reported.

The countries of the Great Silk Road turned out to be more attractive than the most popular tourist routes – Italian Tuscany, the Japanese region of Tohoku, the American state of Maine, the volcanic island of Lord Howe in Australia and many others, the article said.
