Saudi military adviser calls on Pakistan Army Chief

Islamabad: Major General Talal Abdullah Al-Otaibi, the military adviser to Saudi Arabia’s defence minister, Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the Pakistan Army’s General Headquarters on Thursday.
Matters of mutual interest and regional security were discussed during the meeting, the Inter-Services Public Relations said in a press release.
According to the military’s media wing, a training exchange program and other measures to enhance defence collaboration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia also came under discussion.
COAS Gen Bajwa affirmed Pakistan Army’s support towards capacity building of Royal Saudi land forces.
The visiting dignitary acknowledged Pakistan Army’s valuable contributions particularly towards regional peace and stability.
Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Saeed Al Malkiy was also present during the meeting, the ISPR said.
