Gov’t to test hotel-to-airport baggage delivery service
The South Korean government said Wednesday that it has partnered with the Incheon airport and a budget carrier to test a hotel-to-airport baggage delivery service until the end of May. In the “Easy-Drop” service, a traveler can send baggage from a local hotel to Incheon airport if he or she is set to leave on a Jeju Air Co. flight, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport said in a statement. The traveler doesn’t need to check the luggage on arrival at the passenger terminal under the service that will temporarily be operated from Thursday through May 31. “If the service draws a strong response from customers, the government plans to expand it to other airports and airlines,” an official said.
